This is one of my more abstract ensembles. It is inspired by a salmon steak I saw in a supermarket in Leipzig in 2013. The image stuck with me: sloping, bright like a traffic cone for good nutrition. But it also reminded me of a hilly landscape. A beautiful quiet place, with orange cantaloupes that make you never want to eat fruit from a supermarket again. Pallet and fiberboard are used to lift and model the thick plastic in such a way that it hints to this little valley, taking me back to that salmon steak. It’s a shame I am a vegetarian.
